The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a branch of the Iranian Armed Forces, has announced that it conducted a strike against a US military base located in Kuwait. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, this information was disseminated via the Telegram channel of Press TV.

The IRGC statement claims that the strikes on the Ali Al-Salem airbase resulted in the destruction of a US military Patriot air defense system, a large military warehouse, and a hangar housing MQ-9 unmanned aerial vehicles. Furthermore, the report alleges that US troop deployment points at the Al-Adiri camp and two helicopter hangars were also targeted.

In response to potential accusations regarding the violation of Kuwait's sovereignty, Tehran has rejected such claims. The Iranian side asserted that US military bases located within Kuwaiti territory are effectively under Washington's control and that access to these facilities is restricted by US authorization. As of this reporting, officials from both the United States and Kuwait have yet to issue an official statement regarding these claims.

The Ali Al-Salem Air Base, located west of Kuwait City, has long served as a critical hub for US military operations in the Middle East. It has historically played a significant role in supporting regional security missions and logistics for American forces deployed across the Persian Gulf region.
