The head of Iran's judiciary has issued a sharp response to US President Donald Trump's recent decisions regarding the extension of a regional ceasefire, asserting that Tehran will not be influenced by external pressure.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje'i, the head of the Iranian judicial system, emphasized that the Islamic Republic remains committed to its own strategic interests rather than following foreign dictates. "The enemy is not in a position to determine the timing for us," Eje'i stated, adding that Iran must maintain high vigilance against both external threats and internal stability challenges to safeguard the nation's sovereignty.
The statement comes amid heightened diplomatic tensions in the Middle East as the administration of US President Donald Trump seeks to implement new regional security frameworks. Iran's judiciary, which plays a significant role in the country's domestic and foreign policy alignment, often reflects the hardline stance of the clerical leadership. This rhetoric underscores the ongoing friction between Washington and Tehran over regional influence and the terms of international agreements, signaling a complex path forward for diplomatic negotiations in the region.
