Iran has launched large-scale missile and drone strikes against 80 military targets across Israel.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing foreign media outlets, that the operation was carried out as part of the 63rd wave of the "True Promise 4" operation. Precision strikes using missile systems and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) targeted various military installations in southern and central Israel, including areas near Rishon LeZion, as well as locations to the east and south of Tel Aviv.
During the overnight operation, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) also reported strikes against United States military bases situated in Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain. These escalations follow a formal declaration by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who vowed a severe response and "harsh revenge" for the assassination of Ali Larijani, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council. Tehran has further issued warnings regarding the deployment of advanced weaponry in future operations against US and Israeli interests.
The current escalation marks a significant intensification of regional tensions in the Middle East. Such large-scale military confrontations often involve the deployment of sophisticated ballistic missile technology and loitering munitions, drawing international concern over the potential for a wider regional conflict. Azerbaijan continues to monitor the situation closely, maintaining its diplomatic stance on regional stability and the importance of international law in resolving such high-stakes geopolitical confrontations.
