Iran has launched a new wave of missile strikes targeting energy facilities in countries along the Persian Gulf, according to Iranian state television. Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the strikes were directed at the infrastructure of Gulf nations accused of hosting operations against Iran.

The escalation occurred immediately following a high-level meeting in Riyadh, where regional leaders gathered to discuss the deteriorating security situation. During the summit, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan issued a stern warning to Tehran, stating:

"If Iran believes that the Gulf countries are incapable of responding, it is a grave miscalculation."

The current hostilities were triggered by recent military strikes conducted by the United States and Israel against Iran's critical energy assets, specifically the Assaluyeh oil refinery and the South Pars natural gas field. Under the administration of US President Donald Trump, Washington has maintained a policy of maximum pressure and strategic deterrence in the region. The South Pars field is the world's largest natural gas field, shared between Iran and Qatar, and any disruption to its operations poses a significant threat to global energy security and price stability in international markets.
