Iran has officially entered the third phase of its ongoing conflict with the United States and Israel.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi made the announcement regarding the country's shifting strategic landscape.
According to the diplomat, the first two stages of the confrontation were characterized by the 12-day conflict with Israel last summer and the wave of mass protests that have continued across the republic since late December. Gharibabadi emphasized that while opposing parties have altered their tactics, they are destined to face defeat in this new phase, just as they did in the previous two stages.
The statement follows recent remarks by US Secretary of State Marko Rubio, who indicated that Washington does not rule out the possibility of preventive military operations against Iran. He underscored that US President Donald Trump consistently maintains the right to utilize preventive defense options to protect national interests.
The escalation of rhetoric comes amid long-standing tensions in the Middle East regarding Iran's nuclear program and its regional influence. Historically, the relationship between Tehran and Washington has been defined by economic sanctions and diplomatic standoffs, which have intensified under the current administration's policy of maximum pressure and regional security stabilization.
