Conflicts are disrupting traditional transportation routes, creating significant challenges for people, countries, and economies. When transportation and connectivity are severed, the majority of the international community faces difficulties.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that President Ilham Aliyev made these remarks during his speech at the opening ceremony of the 13th Global Baku Forum.
Emphasizing that investments are currently being made in both the Middle Corridor and the North-South Transport Corridor, and that all construction projects within the territory of Azerbaijan have been fully implemented, the head of state noted:
"The demand for cargo transported through Azerbaijan is increasing, and we serve as a transit hub for many countries in both the West and the East."
The Global Baku Forum, organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, has become a premier international platform for discussing global challenges and regional security. By leveraging its strategic geographical location, Azerbaijan continues to strengthen its role as a vital logistics bridge between Europe and Asia. The development of the Middle Corridor (Trans-Caspian International Transport Route) and the North-South Corridor remains a cornerstone of Baku's economic strategy to diversify the national economy and enhance regional integration.
