Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, has shared photos from Shusha alongside military attaches accredited in Azerbaijan.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the official posted the images on his social media accounts during a visit to the liberated territories. "In Shusha with military attaches accredited in Azerbaijan. In the background - the mosque in Shusha, which is currently still under construction," Hajiyev wrote in his post.
The visit is part of a broader effort by the Azerbaijani government to brief the international diplomatic corps on the large-scale restoration and reconstruction projects currently underway in the Garabagh region. Shusha, declared the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, is undergoing significant infrastructural development, including the restoration of historical monuments and religious sites that were damaged during the decades-long occupation. These diplomatic tours aim to provide firsthand transparency regarding the security situation and the progress of the "Great Return" program in the region.
