During a police operation carried out in Goychay, an individual was detained, and narcotics along with an illegally possessed automatic weapon were discovered and seized.
According to information provided by the Sheki regional group of the MIA press service to the Operative Information Center-OMM, employees of the Goychay District Police Department identified a person involved in the illegal drug trade through targeted measures. During the operation, 33-year-old Alikhan Mammadov, who has several prior convictions, was detained.
A search conducted at the suspect's residence led to the discovery of the psychotropic substance methamphetamine. Additionally, a "Kalashnikov" brand automatic rifle and 126 cartridges belonging to the weapon were confiscated from the house. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the facts, and investigations are currently ongoing.
