Jabiyeva—were detained during the operation. Law enforcement officials recovered 14 kilograms of marijuana and 4,490 methadone pills from the suspects. Azerbaijan continues to intensify its efforts against the illegal drug trade, particularly focusing on transit routes used for smuggling. The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) frequently conducts large-scale operations in southern regions to prevent the entry of narcotics into the domestic market. These efforts are part of a broader national strategy to combat drug trafficking and ensure public safety across the Republic of Azerbaijan.
