A delegation led by the Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan, Nigmatilla Yuldashev, has visited the Kalbajar and Ganja regions as part of a working visit to Azerbaijan.
This was reported to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Prosecutor General's Office.
The guests were briefed on the large-scale restoration and reconstruction efforts currently underway in the city of Kalbajar and the Istisu area. They reviewed ongoing infrastructure projects, socioeconomic development initiatives, and measures taken to ensure sustainable resettlement in the region.
Bashir Hajiyev, the Special Representative of President Ilham Aliyev in the Kalbajar district, provided the delegation with detailed information regarding the reconstruction projects, the development of modern infrastructure, and the phased return of the population to their native lands, as well as future development prospects.
In accordance with the development strategy established by President Ilham Aliyev, extensive construction work based on modern urban planning principles is being consistently carried out in the Garabagh and East Zangezur economic regions, which were liberated from occupation in 2020.
As part of the visit, the delegation also traveled to the city of Ganja. The guests visited the Memorial Complex dedicated to the civilians who lost their lives during the Patriotic War due to missile attacks by the Armenian armed forces. They were provided with detailed information about the attacks on Ganja, the severe consequences of the strikes against the civilian population, and the efforts made to commemorate the victims.
During their tour of the city, the guests also visited the Shah Abbas Mosque, the Imamzadeh religious-architectural complex, and the mausoleum of the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi, which reflect the rich historical and cultural heritage of Ganja. This visit concluded the delegation's working trip to Azerbaijan.
