Armenia reports 619 election violations and 18 arrests

Hundreds of reports have been filed with law enforcement agencies regarding the elections held in Armenia.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs has released official data on the situation.

As of 10:00 a.m. on June 8, the Ministry’s Operational Management Center received 619 inquiries via its 112 and 87-67 hotlines. The reported incidents include 52 cases of repeat voting, 27 violations of voting secrecy, 9 instances of obstruction of electoral rights, 4 cases of bribery, and reports of hooliganism and physical violence.

The integrity of electoral processes remains a critical issue in the region, with international observers frequently monitoring voting procedures to ensure compliance with democratic standards. The documentation of these violations has been forwarded to investigative authorities, with 322 cases currently under active investigation and 18 individuals detained.

Furthermore, the Ministry’s Migration and Citizenship Service reported that 2,435 individuals applied to be added to supplementary voter lists, with 1,172 receiving the necessary documentation. Additionally, 1,221 citizens obtained temporary identification documents (Form 9) to participate in the voting process.
