Erdogan and US President Donald Trump to hold bilateral talks

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is set to host state and government leaders during a major summit involving 32 NATO member countries. The event, which serves as a critical platform for addressing global security challenges, will feature high-level discussions on regional stability.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing reports from "TRT Haber," the summit will address the ongoing situation in Ukraine and recent developments along the alliance's southern flank. The gathering is expected to draw nearly 100 ministers, numerous high-ranking diplomats, and representatives from international organizations alongside the heads of state and government from the 32 NATO member nations.

President Erdogan is scheduled to hold a series of bilateral meetings throughout the day. At 11:00 local time (12:00 Baku time), he will meet with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, followed by a meeting with Finnish President Alexander Stubb at 12:30 (13:30 Baku time).

A key highlight of the diplomatic schedule is the meeting with US President Donald Trump, whom President Erdogan will officially welcome at 15:00 (16:00 Baku time). Later in the evening, at 19:30 (20:30 Baku time), President Erdogan and First Lady Emine Erdogan will host a formal dinner in honor of the visiting heads of state and government and their spouses.

The summit, which underscores Turkey's pivotal role in NATO's strategic framework, has necessitated significant security measures, with over 48,000 police officers mobilized to ensure the safety of the proceedings in Ankara.
