A bus service for students should be considered together with the issue of public transport, Azerbaijan’s education minister said.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Education Minister Emin Amrullayev made the remarks at a news conference dedicated to the new academic year.
The minister said changing schools’ class schedules in connection with organizing a bus service would be a complicated matter:
"Parents bring their children to school at certain times. There is currently no specific decision on a bus service for students. However, the results of monitoring are being analyzed and will be made public."
School transportation is generally coordinated with wider urban mobility planning, including traffic patterns, public transport capacity and school start times. Any such arrangement in Azerbaijan would require assessment of local needs and coordination among the relevant authorities.
