The building of the U.S.-based Oracle corporation in Dubai has sustained minor damage after being struck by debris from intercepted Iranian munitions.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the incident was confirmed by Emirati officials following a series of aerial interceptions in the region.
According to an official statement: "Fragments of an intercepted projectile fell on the Oracle building in the Dubai Internet City district, causing light damage to its facade. No casualties or injuries have been reported." While the exact type of the intercepted munition has not yet been disclosed, authorities are currently conducting a technical assessment at the site.
This incident follows reports from local officials regarding a similar occurrence in the Dubai Marina district, where falling debris also caused concern among residents. Dubai Internet City, where the Oracle office is located, is a major technology park and business hub in the United Arab Emirates, housing numerous global tech giants and regional headquarters.
The event takes place amid heightened regional tensions involving Iranian military activities. Dubai, as a global financial and tourism center, maintains sophisticated air defense systems to ensure the safety of its infrastructure and international business community. Security protocols in the affected districts remain at a high state of readiness as investigations into the origin and trajectory of the projectiles continue.
