The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has responded to 763 calls within a single day in connection with heavy rainfall across the country. According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the ministry has mobilized resources to address the complications caused by the current weather conditions.

Official data indicates that 763 calls received by the "102" Service-Call Center were directed to relevant departments for immediate action. Of these, 475 were forwarded to the State Yol Polisi, 214 to the Post-Patrol Service and Rapid Police Regiment of local police bodies, and 74 to other service areas to ensure necessary assistance was provided to citizens. "Currently, the service organized by the MIA across Azerbaijan continues in an enhanced mode. Coordinated activities aimed at eliminating the consequences of the rain and ensuring the safety of citizens remain a top priority," the ministry stated.

Heavy seasonal rainfall in Azerbaijan often necessitates such emergency measures to maintain public safety and ensure the smooth flow of traffic in the capital, Baku, and regional centers. The Ministry of Internal Affairs regularly coordinates with other state agencies during extreme weather events to prevent accidents and provide rapid humanitarian aid to affected residents. These measures are part of a broader national strategy to enhance civil defense and emergency response capabilities during natural occurrences.
