As of 11:00 on June 5, weather conditions across Azerbaijan remained generally dry; however, starting from the afternoon of June 4, intermittent lightning and rainfall were observed in several mountainous and foothill regions.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the National Hydrometeorology Service reported that the unstable weather pattern has affected various parts of the country.
Precipitation levels recorded include 7 mm in Gadabay, 4 mm in Sharur, 2 mm in Dashkasan, and up to 1 mm in Ordubad, Shahbuz, Sadarak, Goygol, Ganja, Naftalan, Shamkir, Balakan, Gryz, Beylagan, Bilasuvar, Jalilabad, Yardimli, Kalbajar, Lachin, Qubadli, Khankendi, Khojaly, and Fuzuli.
Furthermore, adverse weather conditions brought hail to the region. On June 4, between 14:28 and 14:30, hail with a diameter of 7 mm fell in the Gadabay district. Additionally, around 14:40, hail was reported in the villages of Alakhanchalli, Karataghlar, Karagullar, Mushavaq, Zinzahal, Zivlan, and Sugovushan in the Dashkasan district.
The National Hydrometeorology Service, which operates under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, is responsible for monitoring these meteorological shifts. Such sudden changes in weather, particularly in the mountainous regions of the country, are common during the transition between spring and summer seasons, often requiring agricultural producers and residents to remain vigilant against potential damage to crops and infrastructure.
