The Chinese government has imposed restrictive measures on six United States-based organizations, marking a significant escalation in ongoing trade and diplomatic tensions between the two global powers.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, citing international media reports, the sanctions target Applied DNA Sciences, Stratum Reservoir, Altana Technologies, Responsible Business Alliance, Verité Group, and Human Rights in China.

The decision was formalized following approval by China's national coordination mechanism, which is tasked with countering foreign sanctions. Beijing stated that these measures are a direct response to Washington's recent actions, which included imposing sanctions on Chinese entities based on allegations of "forced labor" practices.

This development reflects the broader geopolitical friction between Beijing and Washington, where economic tools and sanctions are increasingly utilized as instruments of foreign policy. The "forced labor" allegations have been a recurring point of contention, with the US frequently citing human rights concerns to justify trade restrictions, while China consistently rejects these claims as interference in its internal affairs and attempts to stifle its economic development.
