Azerbaijan's population has increased by 1,689 people, or 0.02 percent, since the beginning of the year, reaching 10,264,040 people as of February 1, 2026.

The demographic composition of the population in Azerbaijan is distributed as follows:
- 54.3 percent are urban residents;
- 45.7 percent are rural residents;
- 49.8 percent are men;
- 50.2 percent are women.
