Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, Baiba Braže, to discuss regional security and bilateral ties.

Both sides noted that further aggravation of the situation poses significant security risks across a wide geographical area, emphasizing the critical importance of dialogue and resolving conflicts through diplomatic means.
During the conversation, the ministers also reviewed the current state and development prospects of Azerbaijan-Latvia bilateral relations. They expressed satisfaction with the intensification of political dialogue and discussed the potential for expanding cooperation across various sectors, including high-level mutual visits and regional security issues.
Azerbaijan and Latvia maintain a strategic partnership characterized by active cooperation within international organizations and a shared interest in enhancing economic and political ties. As a member of the European Union and NATO, Latvia remains an important partner for Azerbaijan in the Baltic region, supporting the development of the EU-Azerbaijan energy and security dialogue.
