The deadline for responding to citizen inquiries regarding the verification of addresses by micro-districts has been extended to April 15 as part of preparations for the electronic registration process for first-grade pupils in Baku schools.
The Operative Information Center-OMM was informed of this update by the Baku City Education Department (BCED). It was noted that the school micro-district addresses for the 2026-2027 academic year first-grade electronic registration process have already been made public for citizens.
"Micro-districts have been determined in accordance with the dislocation provided by the relevant executive authorities. Citizens should access the designated link to verify whether their permanent registration address—or for newly constructed buildings, the address where the 'Azerishig' OJSC subscriber code is in their name—is included in the dislocation," the department stated. Parents whose addresses are missing from the list are encouraged to fill out the required form and submit their feedback by April 15. Submissions can be made at the education service sections of ASAN service centers No. 5, 6, and 7, or via email at [email protected]. For further inquiries, citizens may contact the BCED Call Center at 146-1.
In Azerbaijan, the digitalization of the school admission process aims to ensure transparency and eliminate bureaucratic hurdles in the education system. The electronic registration system, managed under the Ministry of Science and Education, allows parents to choose schools based on their official place of residence, ensuring a balanced distribution of students across educational institutions in the capital. This process is part of broader reforms in Azerbaijan to modernize public services through the integration of ASAN service centers and digital government platforms.
