Officers of the 3rd Police Station of the Khazar District Police Department have uncovered a location used for drug consumption in the Bine settlement of Baku. During the operation, five individuals were detained for their involvement in illegal activities.
According to information provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the owner of the premises, 48-year-old Elshan Asadullayev, who has a previous criminal record, was arrested for organizing the drug den. Along with him, 37-year-old Anar Aliyev, 50-year-old Rahman Jabrayilov, 48-year-old Seymur Mirzayev, and 46-year-old Namiq Hasanov were taken into custody.
During the search of the property and the suspects, officers seized the psychotropic substance methamphetamine and various drug paraphernalia. Azerbaijan continues to intensify its nationwide crackdown on illegal drug trafficking and the organization of drug dens. The Ministry of Internal Affairs regularly conducts targeted operations in Baku and regional centers to prevent the spread of psychotropic substances, particularly synthetic drugs. Legal proceedings are currently underway to determine the full extent of the group's activities and their potential links to wider distribution networks.
