A total of 71 graduates from general education institutions under the Baku City Education Department have been awarded gold and silver medals for their academic achievements. Specifically, 42 graduates received gold medals, while 29 were honored with silver medals.
According to information provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the awards were granted in accordance with an order from the Minister of Science and Education. Graduates from several prominent institutions, including the Academic Zarifa Aliyeva Lyceum, the Republican Lyceum with a focus on Physics, Mathematics, and Informatics, and the Baku European Lyceum, were among those recognized with gold medals. Similarly, students from the Elitar Gymnasium, the Baku Slavic University school-lyceum complex, and other specialized schools were awarded silver medals for their exceptional performance.
The selection process for these honors is strictly regulated by the Cabinet of Ministers. Recipients are determined based on the "Rules for awarding gold or silver medals to graduates who complete general education with special achievements," ensuring that only students who demonstrate consistent academic excellence throughout their secondary education are eligible for these distinctions.
