Azerbaijan has fully met its obligations regarding the finalization of a peace treaty with Armenia, signaling its readiness to conclude the process.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov confirmed this stance during a statement to journalists. He noted that the text of the peace treaty has already been initialed and disclosed to the public.

"The approach of the Azerbaijani side is principled. President Ilham Aliyev has clearly articulated the official position of the Azerbaijani state. Our expectation is the removal of territorial claims against Azerbaijan from the Armenian Constitution. Only after this step can the peace treaty be signed," the minister stated.

The peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia has been ongoing since the end of the 44-day Patriotic War in 2020, which resulted in the liberation of Azerbaijan's territories from occupation. The primary obstacle currently cited by Baku is the presence of references to territorial claims against Azerbaijan within Armenia's foundational legal documents, specifically its constitution. International mediators have frequently called for a swift conclusion to the peace treaty to ensure long-term stability in the South Caucasus region.
