There is positive progress in the process of delimitation of borders with Armenia, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Foreign Minister made these remarks while speaking to journalists regarding the ongoing normalization efforts between Baku and Yerevan.
The Minister noted that work is actively underway regarding the delimitation process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, facilitated by a specially established commission. "The process is continuing on a regular basis. In this context, we are witnessing positive developments. Furthermore, normative acts regulating the work of the commissions have been adopted and approved by both sides," Bayramov said.
The delimitation of the state border is a critical component of the broader peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Following the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity in 2020 and the subsequent anti-terror measures in 2023, the two nations have engaged in bilateral talks to define the border line, aiming to establish long-term stability and security in the South Caucasus region.
