Visibility has been reduced to 500 meters in several regions, including Shamakhi, Guba, and Lankaran, due to dense fog.
Such weather patterns are typical for the winter season in the Caucasus region, where mountainous terrain often leads to sharp contrasts in precipitation types. The National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan regularly monitors these atmospheric changes to provide timely warnings for transport and infrastructure sectors. Residents in affected areas are advised to exercise caution, particularly on mountain passes where visibility and road conditions may be compromised by snow and fog.
