Intense precipitation continues across the territory of Azerbaijan, with rain reported in most areas and snow falling in several mountainous and foothill regions. The National Hydrometeorological Service provided official data to the Operative Information Center-OMM regarding the current weather conditions as of 10:00 AM on February 11.
According to the official report, the highest snow cover was recorded in Shahbuz (50 cm). Other significant measurements include 28 cm in Gakh (Saribash), 20 cm in Dashkasan, 18 cm in Goygol, 15 cm in Gadabay, 14 cm in Aghdam, 10 cm in Lerik, and 9 cm in Tartar. Snow cover also reached 8 cm in Shamakhi and Yardimli, 7 cm in Imishli, 6 cm in Guba, and between 1 to 4 cm in Goranboy, Khizi, Naftalan, Ganja, Barda, Gabala, and Mingachevir.
The volume of precipitation was particularly high in the southern regions of Azerbaijan, with Lankaran receiving 23 mm, while Jalilabad and Bilasuvar recorded 16 mm. In the capital, Baku, and the Absheron Peninsula, precipitation levels remained at 1 mm. Furthermore, dense fog has been reported in Goygol, Tartar, Shamakhi, and Guba, reducing visibility to approximately 500 meters. Such weather patterns are characteristic of the winter season in Azerbaijan, where the diverse topography leads to significant climatic variations between the lowlands and the Greater and Lesser Caucasus mountain ranges.
