Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have held a new round of political consultations between their foreign ministries in Tashkent, focusing on key issues within their bilateral agenda.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov shared details regarding the meeting with Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister Samir Sharifov via his Telegram channel.
Minister Saidov noted that the discussions, which took place during Sharifov's visit, were conducted in an atmosphere of mutual trust. Both sides conducted a comprehensive review of current bilateral relations.
"We welcome the results of the next round of political consultations between the foreign policy agencies of our two countries. The active, friendly, and trust-based dialogue between our states is of great importance for the dynamic development of strategic partnership and alliance relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan," the Uzbek Foreign Minister stated.
Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan maintain robust diplomatic ties rooted in shared cultural, historical, and linguistic heritage. These political consultations serve as a vital mechanism for aligning foreign policy strategies, enhancing economic cooperation, and addressing regional security challenges, further solidifying the strategic alliance between the two nations.
