Unstable weather conditions characterized by lightning and heavy rainfall have been recorded across most regions of Azerbaijan. According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, precipitation has taken the form of torrential rain in several areas as of midday.

Currently, strong northwest winds are prevailing in several territories. The maximum wind speed has reached 23 m/s in Goranboy, 21 m/s in Mingachevir and Dashkasan, 20 m/s in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, 18 m/s in Naftalan, and 16 m/s in Gadabay.
Azerbaijan's National Hydrometeorological Service, operating under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, regularly monitors atmospheric processes to provide early warnings for extreme weather events. Such seasonal shifts in weather are common in the South Caucasus, often leading to temporary fluctuations in temperature and increased wind speeds, particularly in the mountainous regions and the coastal areas of the Caspian Sea.
