In accordance with the bilateral military cooperation plan for 2026 between the Ministries of Defense of Azerbaijan and Serbia, representatives from both nations have held discussions focused on strengthening cybersecurity collaboration.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the Ministry of Defense, a working meeting between military experts specializing in information security and cybersecurity from both countries took place in Baku.
The meeting, hosted at the International Military Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Defense, featured a comprehensive exchange of views on the current landscape of information and cybersecurity. Key topics included addressing modern challenges and threats, protecting critical information infrastructure, combating cyber incidents, exchanging best practices, training specialists, and organizing joint exercises. Both sides emphasized that deepening cooperation in the cybersecurity domain and sharing expertise will significantly contribute to strengthening the defense capabilities of both Azerbaijan and Serbia.
Azerbaijan and Serbia have maintained a strategic partnership, with defense cooperation serving as a key pillar of their bilateral relations.
