Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov and the Head of the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Amangeldi Sainov have discussed the development of interaction between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan released a statement regarding the meeting held in Baku.
The negotiations in the capital were also attended by heads of relevant departments overseeing personnel and financial policy, real estate management, and information security. During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the role of diplomatic services in modern conditions and ways to further improve them to effectively promote national interests. Special attention was paid to the personnel policy issues of the MFAs of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, including approaches to improving diplomat selection procedures and their professional training.
"The parties also discussed key aspects of financial support and budget planning for the activities of diplomatic missions, as well as existing incentive mechanisms for diplomatic service employees. Following the visit, the mutual interest of the parties in further deepening cooperation, regular exchange of experience, and the implementation of joint initiatives through the MFA was confirmed," the statement said.
The meeting underscores the strengthening strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, which has seen significant growth in recent years across political, economic, and logistical sectors. As key players in the Middle Corridor international transport route, both nations continue to align their diplomatic frameworks to better address regional challenges and enhance bilateral institutional ties. This technical exchange between the two ministries serves as a practical step in implementing the broader cooperation agreements signed between the leadership of the two Turkic states.
