The use of modern technologies and new capabilities to expand the scope of terrorist activities is a serious concern.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that President Ilham Aliyev made the remarks in his address to participants of the 4th Baku Security Forum.
“The malicious use of digital capabilities, including artificial intelligence, contributes to the spread of radical ideas, the expansion of terrorist networks’ sources of funding and the recruitment of new supporters, creating serious obstacles to the effectiveness of the fight against terrorism. Under these circumstances, the fight against terrorism should not be limited to the efforts of individual countries and must remain an important area of international cooperation and joint action,” the head of state said.
The Baku Security Forum brings together officials and experts to discuss international security challenges, including terrorism, cyberthreats and emerging technologies. Such forums provide a platform for coordinating national and international efforts to address evolving security risks.
