The Baku City State Traffic Police Department has issued a follow-up appeal to drivers regarding upcoming traffic restrictions on a section of the Airport road starting tomorrow.

The official statement was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM. According to the department, electronic information and speed limit displays located near the Buta Palace in the capital will be replaced with new ones on February 14 and 15. Due to the technical maintenance work, traffic flow on the mentioned road will be restricted, and directions will be diverted.

The restriction schedule is as follows: From 00:00 to 07:00 on February 14, the road from the Airport bridge toward the Koroglu metro station will be closed. On February 15, during the same hours, movement from the Koroglu metro station (specifically from the overpass above the Surakhani circle) toward the Airport will be restricted.

Traffic police officers will direct drivers arriving from the Mardakan highway toward the Zigh highway. Those traveling from the city center will be redirected through the Surakhani district via Khanlar Alakbarov and 14 July streets. Alternatively, drivers heading from the city toward the Airport can continue their journey by transitioning from 8 November Avenue to the Zigh road.

The Airport road is one of the most critical transport arteries in Baku, connecting the city center with the Heydar Aliyev International Airport and several suburban settlements. These infrastructure upgrades are part of ongoing efforts in Azerbaijan to modernize digital traffic management systems and enhance road safety for residents and visitors in the capital.
