Trilateral negotiations between Russia, Ukraine, and the United States, which were scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi, have been postponed following a meeting between Russian and American representatives.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that The New York Times released information regarding the delay. According to the report, the second round of talks focusing on territorial issues, originally set for February 1, has been frozen for several days following a high-level meeting held in Florida.

While no official reason has been provided for the rescheduling of the summit, the delay comes amid intense diplomatic activity. Previously, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to an invitation to visit Moscow, firmly stating that a meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin on Russian territory is impossible. The involvement of US President Donald Trump's administration in these discussions highlights the shifting diplomatic landscape as international mediators seek a resolution to the ongoing conflict.

The Abu Dhabi format represents a significant diplomatic effort to bring the warring parties and global powers to the table in a neutral venue. The United Arab Emirates has increasingly positioned itself as a key mediator in international disputes, leveraging its strategic location and diplomatic ties with both Western and Eastern blocs. These talks are viewed by international observers as a critical step toward establishing a framework for potential peace negotiations and regional stability.
