Reports regarding the withdrawal of the US-led international coalition forces from Syria have not been officially confirmed.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Pentagon issued a statement in response to an inquiry from RIA Novosti regarding the matter.

The US Department of Defense declined to provide specific details on the alleged withdrawal, instead directing journalists to contact the US Central Command (CENTCOM). As of now, Central Command has not responded to requests for clarification on the status of the mission.

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs previously stated that the withdrawal of international forces was linked to the achievement of objectives in the fight against the ISIS terrorist organization. According to Damascus, all military facilities are being transferred to the control of the Syrian Arab Army under high-security conditions and in full coordination between the Syrian and US governments.

The presence of US forces in Syria has been a focal point of regional security since the coalition began operations against ISIS in 2014. While US President Donald Trump has previously emphasized the importance of regional stability and the defeat of extremist elements, the official stance of the Pentagon remains focused on the enduring defeat of terrorist threats. The strategic coordination in the region often involves complex diplomatic and military channels to ensure that a power vacuum does not lead to a resurgence of militant activity.
