To help buses operate on schedule without delays, the operating hours of the bus lane on Baku’s Ziya Buniyadov Avenue, between its intersections with Ataturk Avenue and Azadlig Avenue, in the direction of the “20 January” metro station, have been extended by one hour in the evening.
The information was provided to the “Operative Information Center-OMM” by the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
The agency said the road sign indicating the bus lane’s operating hours had been updated. Previously, the dedicated lane was in effect from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the evening; it now operates from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Bus lanes are intended to give public transport priority on busy urban roads and help improve schedule reliability, particularly during evening peak hours.
