Weather forecast: Rain and thunderstorms expected in Azerbaijan

The National Hydrometeorological Service has released the weather forecast for June 24, warning of unstable atmospheric conditions across Azerbaijan.

According to the information provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the weather in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula is expected to be variably cloudy. While conditions will be largely dry during the day, rain is anticipated in some areas by the evening. There is a possibility of short-term, intense precipitation and lightning, particularly toward the night. A moderate north-east wind will prevail.

Temperatures in the capital are forecast to range between 20-23°C at night and 29-34°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure will be at 758 mm Hg, with relative humidity levels fluctuating between 60-65% at night and 40-50% during the day.

Across the regions of Azerbaijan, intermittent rain is expected in several areas. Meteorologists have warned of potential intense rainfall, lightning, and hail, with precipitation likely to intensify in the evening. Fog is expected in some mountainous areas during the night and morning hours, accompanied by a moderate east wind.

Temperatures in the regions are projected to be 21-25°C at night and 30-35°C during the day. In mountainous regions, temperatures will range from 10-15°C at night to 17-22°C during the day, with some areas reaching 25-28°C.

The National Hydrometeorological Service regularly monitors these fluctuations as part of its mandate to provide timely climate data to the public and relevant government agencies in Azerbaijan, ensuring preparedness for sudden weather changes.
