Temperatures in Azerbaijan are expected to reach 27°C on May 9, as the country experiences a warming trend across various regions.
According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, as reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, Baku and the Absheron Peninsula will see changeably cloudy skies and mostly dry conditions. However, there is a possibility of brief, light rain in some parts of the peninsula during the day. Temperatures in the capital will range between 12-15°C at night and 20-25°C during the day, with atmospheric pressure at 764 mm Hg and relative humidity between 50-70%.
In the regions of Azerbaijan, the weather is expected to be primarily rainless, though intermittent precipitation, lightning, and hail may occur in mountainous and foothill areas. High-altitude regions may also experience snow. Regional temperatures are forecasted to reach 22-27°C during the day, while mountainous areas will see highs of 13-18°C. A westerly wind is expected to prevail across the country.
These seasonal variations are typical for Azerbaijan's diverse climate during the month of May, which often features a transition between continental and subtropical air masses. The National Hydrometeorological Service regularly monitors these atmospheric changes to provide accurate data for the public and various sectors of the economy, including agriculture and transportation, which are sensitive to sudden temperature shifts and localized precipitation.
