The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Azerbaijan to NATO has hosted a meeting with participants of the Alliance's familiarization program, representing nine different countries.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Mission announced the event via a post on its official "X" social media account.

The Head of the Mission, Jafar Huseynzada, and the Military Representative of Azerbaijan to NATO, Colonel Ramil Hasanov, received delegates from Algeria, Colombia, Egypt, Georgia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine.

"During the meeting, participants were briefed on Azerbaijan's partnership with NATO and the country's extensive experience in this field," the statement noted.

The NATO familiarization program is conducted twice annually, providing participants with comprehensive insights into the Alliance's operational structure, strategic objectives, and various international cooperation frameworks. Azerbaijan has been a consistent contributor to NATO-led peacekeeping operations and maintains a robust bilateral dialogue with the Alliance, focusing on interoperability, defense reform, and regional security cooperation.
