Starting from the second half of September 5 in mountainous areas, and spreading from the northern and western regions during the day on September 6 through the morning of September 8, intermittent rainfall is expected across parts of Azerbaijan.
This information was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the National Hydrometeorological Service.
Officials stated that in some areas, the precipitation is expected to be intensive, accompanied by short-term downpours, lightning, and the potential for hail.
Due to the anticipated weather conditions, authorities have warned that water levels in rivers may rise, and short-term flash floods in some mountain rivers cannot be ruled out. Residents in the affected regions are advised to exercise caution and follow safety guidelines issued by local emergency services.
The National Hydrometeorological Service regularly monitors weather patterns across the country to provide early warnings for extreme meteorological events, which is critical for the safety of agricultural sectors and infrastructure in Azerbaijan's diverse climatic zones.
