Ukrayna XİN ABŞ səfirliyinin Kiyevdən təxliyəsi ilə bağlı iddiaları təkzib edib

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Georgi Tykhyi, has officially refuted reports suggesting the evacuation of the US embassy in Kyiv, amid heightened security concerns and threats of Russian strikes on the Ukrainian capital.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Interfax-Ukraine, Tykhyi addressed the rumors while responding to questions from journalists. "The information regarding the evacuation of the US embassy does not reflect the truth," Tykhyi stated.

The clarification follows recent comments attributed to the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas, during an informal meeting of foreign ministers in Cyprus. Kallas had reportedly suggested that while most European embassies remained operational, the US mission was departing. The US embassy in Kyiv has frequently adjusted its operations in response to security alerts throughout the ongoing conflict, which has seen intensified missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure. Diplomatic missions in Kyiv remain a focal point of international attention as the security situation in the region continues to evolve.
