June temperatures in Azerbaijan to reach 40°C

Average monthly temperatures in Azerbaijan during June are expected to be close to the climate norm, and slightly higher in some areas.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that this information was released by the National Hydrometeorological Service.

According to the service, monthly precipitation is predicted to be mostly close to the climate norm, with slightly higher levels in some regions. During the first days of June, occasional rain is expected in some districts, with short-term heavy downpours, lightning, and hail possible in isolated areas.

In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the average monthly temperature is expected to be 23-25°C, which is close to and slightly above the climate norm. Temperatures will range from 18-23°C at night to 27-32°C during the day, reaching 35-38°C on some days. Monthly precipitation is expected to be close to the norm (9-12 mm).

In Nakhchivan city, Julfa, Ordubad, Sadarak, Shahbuz, and Sharur districts, the average monthly temperature will be 23-26°C. Night temperatures will be 17-22°C, while daytime temperatures will range from 24-29°C, rising to 34-39°C on certain days. Monthly precipitation is expected to be close to the norm (21-35 mm).

In Khankendi, Shusha, Khojaly, Khojavand, Aghdam, Goranboy, Dashkasan, and Gadabay districts, the average monthly temperature is projected at 18-22°C. Temperatures will be 13-18°C at night and 20-25°C during the day, reaching 30-35°C on some days. Monthly precipitation will be close to the norm (63-130 mm).

In Jabrayil, Kalbajar, Qubadli, Lachin, and Zangilan districts, the average monthly temperature is expected to be 19-23°C. Night temperatures will range from 13-18°C, while daytime temperatures will be 20-25°C, reaching 28-33°C on some days. Monthly precipitation will be close to the norm (38-86 mm).

In Gazakh, Ganja, Agstafa, Shamkir, Tovuz, Tartar, and Fuzuli districts, the average monthly temperature is forecast at 22-25°C. Temperatures will be 18-23°C at night and 27-32°C during the day, rising to 35-38°C on some days. Monthly precipitation is expected to be close to the norm, and slightly higher in some areas (46-58 mm).

In Balakan, Zaqatala, Qakh, Sheki, Oguz, Gabala, Ismayilli, Agsu, Shamakhi, Siyazan, Shabran, Khizi, Guba, Khachmaz, and Gusar districts, the average monthly temperature will be 20-24°C. Temperatures will range from 17-22°C at night to 23-28°C during the day, reaching 34-39°C on some days. In the mountains, temperatures will be 4-9°C at night and 13-18°C during the day, rising to 20-25°C on some days. Monthly precipitation will be close to the norm (18-179 mm).

In Yevlakh, Goychay, Agdash, Kurdamir, Imishli, Aghjabadi, Mingachevir, Beylagan, Sabirabad, Saatli, Shirvan, Hajigabul, Zardab, Salyan, and Neftchala districts, the average monthly temperature is expected to be 25-28°C. Night temperatures will range from 19-24°C, while daytime temperatures will be 28-33°C, reaching 35-40°C on some days. Monthly precipitation is expected to be close to the norm (12-49 mm).

In Masalli, Yardimli, Lerik, Lankaran, Bilasuvar, Astara, and Jalilabad districts, the average monthly temperature is forecast at 21-25°C. Temperatures will be 17-22°C at night and 27-32°C during the day, reaching 34-38°C on some days. Monthly precipitation is expected to be close to the norm, and slightly higher in some areas (29-47 mm).
