Five individuals suspected of committing a series of thefts from markets have been detained in Baku, Azerbaijan.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM, police received reports regarding thefts from three markets located in the Nasimi, Yasamal, and Binagadi districts of the capital. As a result of measures conducted by police officers, G. Rzayev, T. Poladov, O. Safarov, Ch. Guliyev, and A. Jafarzade were identified and detained as suspects. Investigations revealed that the group primarily targeted tobacco products and alcoholic beverages, which they subsequently sold to other retail outlets at prices significantly below market value.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to conduct comprehensive investigations into the facts to determine the full extent of the group's criminal activities.
