As part of ongoing efforts to modernize road infrastructure in Baku, the State Agency of Automobile Roads of Azerbaijan (AAYDA) has announced the completion of repair works on two major road sections, while construction continues on four additional thoroughfares.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing official data from AAYDA, renovation works have been finalized on the section of Abbasgulu Agha Bakikhanov Street between Rashid Behbudov and Jeyhun Hajibeyli streets, as well as on the segment of Khan Shushinski Street between Abbasgulu Agha Bakikhanov Street and Vagif Avenue.

Currently, repair operations remain underway on the service road of Gara Garayev Avenue (from Nakhchivanski Street to Bakir Nuriyev and Rustam Rustamov streets), Huseyn Javid Avenue (from Abdurrahim bey Hagverdiyev Street to Landau Street, and from Samad Daglı Street to Mikayil Mushfig Street), Nazim Hikmet Street (from Asif Maharramov and Sharifzade streets to Hasan bey Zardabi and Matbuat avenues), and Sanan Abdullayev Street (Baksol road).

AAYDA officials emphasized that these infrastructure upgrades are being implemented in phases across the capital to ensure the safe and comfortable movement of citizens and to improve overall traffic flow in Baku.

The modernization of Baku's road network is a continuous priority for the Republic of Azerbaijan, aimed at aligning the capital's transport infrastructure with international standards. These projects are part of a broader urban development strategy designed to reduce traffic congestion and enhance road safety for both motorists and pedestrians throughout the city.
