Significant traffic congestion has been reported on several major roads across Baku, impacting commuter travel times during peak hours.
According to the "Operative Information Center-OMM", the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has issued an official update regarding the current road conditions in the capital.
As of the latest report, traffic density is being observed in the following areas:
- Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of the "20 January" metro station;
- 1st Lake Side road, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, leading up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue;
- 8 November Avenue, from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street towards the city center.
The Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) continuously monitors traffic flow in Baku using an extensive network of cameras and sensors. These systems are designed to optimize traffic light timing and provide real-time updates to drivers to help alleviate congestion in the rapidly growing capital of Azerbaijan.
