New traffic lights have been installed for the first time at the intersection of Tbilisi Avenue and Abdulvahab Salamzade Street in Baku to optimize urban mobility. The Operative Information Center-OMM was informed of the development by the Intelligent Transport Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to official statements, the project involved the installation of nine traffic light poles, including both "L" and "A" type structures, equipped with dedicated sections for both vehicles and pedestrians. The initiative, implemented by the Azerbaijan Terrestrial Transport Agency (AYNA), aims to provide direct access from Abdulvahab Salamzade Street toward Ziya Bunyadov Avenue and the "20 January" circle, significantly reducing congestion in the Yasamal district of the capital.

This infrastructure upgrade is part of a broader strategic plan by the government of Azerbaijan to modernize the transport network in Baku. By integrating intelligent management systems and improving intersection efficiency, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and AYNA seek to enhance road safety and minimize travel times for residents and commuters in one of the city's busiest transport hubs.
