US President Donald Trump has addressed the rising risks of global conflict escalation during his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Operative Information Center-OMM, citing foreign media, reports that the US President emphasized that the primary goal of the United States is to prevent the outbreak of a new world war.
According to Donald Trump, the current military conflict in Ukraine occurred as a result of the 2020 election outcomes.
He noted that had he remained in power at that time, events would have developed in a completely different direction:
"We do not want World War III and we are trying to prevent it. I believe that if I had not been elected, this situation could have turned into World War III. This was a truly very bad situation."
The head of the White House added that if the results of the 2020 elections had been different, the ongoing bloody confrontation in Ukraine would never have started.
