Turkish security forces have detained 184 individuals suspected of being linked to the ISIS terrorist group during large-scale counter-terrorism operations conducted across 35 provinces over the last two weeks.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the official statement regarding the operations was released by the Ministry of Interior of Turkey. According to the ministry's disclosure, 22 of the detainees have been formally arrested by the courts, while judicial control measures have been applied to 33 others. Legal proceedings and investigations regarding the remaining suspects are currently ongoing.
During the searches conducted as part of the operation, security officials seized eight unlicensed pistols, one illegal rifle, and a significant volume of organizational documents and digital materials belonging to the terrorist group. These operations are part of Turkey's broader, sustained strategy to neutralize domestic threats and disrupt the financial and logistical networks of extremist organizations operating within its borders and across the region.
