Turkish security forces have conducted large-scale operations aimed at uncovering the activities of terrorist organizations, resulting in the detention of 225 individuals out of 241 identified suspects. According to Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Haber Global, 218 of those detained were transferred to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Following legal proceedings, six suspects were released, while the cases of 212 individuals were referred to the court. After judicial questioning, 178 suspects were formally arrested, and judicial control measures were imposed on 34 others.
These operations are part of Turkey's ongoing, comprehensive counter-terrorism strategy aimed at dismantling the networks of the PKK/KCK, which Ankara designates as a terrorist organization. The Turkish government frequently conducts such security sweeps to neutralize threats to national security and public order. The PKK/KCK has been involved in a decades-long conflict with the Turkish state, and these arrests underscore the continued intensity of Turkey's domestic security efforts to curb militant activities within its borders.
