US President Donald Trump said he had no regrets over the conflict with Iran.

“I do not accept the word regret. Anyone can always question themselves. If I had to do it again, I would act in exactly the same way,” Trump said.
The US president also rejected suggestions that some supporters of the conflict had been disappointed or discouraged.
“I don’t think they are discouraged. I think they are very proud of me because I prevented Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons,” Trump said.
Trump repeated his earlier claim that the war would end immediately after the midterm elections to be held in the United States.
It should be noted that the US president made a similar statement on September 9, suggesting that Tehran might be trying to influence the elections.
US midterm elections are held halfway through a president’s four-year term and determine the composition of both chambers of Congress, making them a significant factor in domestic politics and the administration’s policy agenda.
