Jill Biden, the wife of former US President Joe Biden, has provided an update on his health, stating that the former head of state will likely live with cancer for the remainder of his life.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, Jill Biden discussed the situation in an interview with NBC News.
She explained that Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer, which has metastasized to his bones. "I think if he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer, that would be one thing, because it is treatable. But the fact that it has metastasized to his bones changes everything. Therefore, I believe Joe will live with cancer for the rest of his life," Jill Biden stated.
Despite the diagnosis, she noted that the former president is currently feeling well and is continuing his treatment regimen.
Joe Biden first publicly disclosed his diagnosis of an aggressive form of prostate cancer in May 2025, subsequently undergoing a five-week course of radiation therapy. Prior to this, in September 2025, he underwent surgery related to skin cancer. Prostate cancer remains one of the most common cancer diagnoses among men in the United States, and metastatic cases require ongoing, long-term medical management to control the spread of the disease and maintain quality of life.
